Camp Jo-Ota was founded in 1953 after two Christian ladies, Jo Riggs and Ota Barrow, generously gifted money and land to the Methodist Church. The camp has grown significantly and today serves both youth and adults from all across the region year round. Please explore the site and let us know if there is any way Camp Jo-Ota can meet your needs. We hope to see you at Jo-Ota summer camp or during one of the many other events/retreats that are scheduled throughout the year!

Lakeside Renovations

The renovations at Lakeside cabin are well underway. The bathrooms have been removed to open up the sleeping area and the outside is moving along quickly. When the project is completed (spring of 2012) there will be new bathrooms with three showers/2 toilets/2 sinks for each side of the cabin. The entire cabin will also get a much needed new metal roof as well as new carpet in the common area and sleeping areas. Registration starts Feb. 1st! Please take a moment and browse through the digital camp book to check out the wide variety of camps offered. Also, click on the read more button below to see a complete chart of all camps offered at Jo-Ota. We are certain you'll find a match for your age and interests. Camp fees are to be paid in full when registering. Grade levels refers to the grade the camper will be entering in the fall of 2011. Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
